If There's A Hell Below- Premiere/Reviews

February 3, 2016

If There's A Hell Below had it's premiere at Slamdance last week.  A bunch of nice reviews have posted.  Some snippets below:

"The film works best in its moments of silence, with cinematographer Christopher Messina's striking images creating a palpable tension in that stifling stillness"- The Hollywood Reporter

"The assured direction extends out to the film's look, an aspect that's vital to why If There's A Hell Below works so effectively.  Taking full advantage of the spacious locations, Williams and cinematographer Christopher Messina create one painterly image after another, at times evoking Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World but with a more sinister edge." - Way Too Indie

"The film really guns it whenever Williams and cinematographer Christopher Messina work in sync to create an eerie, barren landscape that ominously suggests danger always lurks around the corner or in the rear-view mirror.  The film gives off a Blood Simple vibe." - Eat Drink Films
